Masaru Uchiyama

A prominent advocate for tax reduction, information disclosure and political transparency, and a pioneer of Japanese conservatism, Masaru Uchiyama is President of Japanese for Tax Reform. He is the only Japanese activist ever to serve as a policy expert (2005-2006) of the Heritage Foundation, one of the most prominent American conservative think tanks. Mr. Uchiyama is also the first Japanese recipient of the Templeton Freedom Grant, awarded by the Atlas Network in 2007.
