Toshi Yoshihara is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments (CSBA). He previously held the John A. van Beuren Chair of Asia-Pacific Studies at the U.S. Naval War College and was an affiliate member of the China Maritime Studies Institute there. Dr. Yoshihara has been a visiting professor of international politics at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University since 2012. He is a former research analyst at the Institute for Foreign Policy Analysis, RAND, and the American Enterprise Institute, and is co-author of Red Star over the Pacific: China’s Rise and the Challenge to U.S. Maritime Strategy (Naval Institute Press, 2010).
