Former Member of the House of Representatives.
After graduating from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tokyo, he joined the Ministry of Finance. After studying at the Institute of Socio-Economics at the University of Bonn, he retired from the Ministry of Finance after serving as Sumoto Tax Commissioner, Director of the Inspection Department of the Osaka Regional Taxation Bureau, Planning Officer in the Minister’s Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance, Professor at Tokyo Medical and Dental University, and Director of the Postal Savings and Simplified Life Insurance Management Organization. He ran in the 2012 general election for the House of Representatives from the Japan Restoration Association; in 2016, he moved to the Liberal Democratic Party, and in 2020, he formed a political organization, the Sansei Party, with Sohin Kamiya, Tsunekazu Shinohara, and others. Further expectations are placed on his future activities as a conservative debater.
