Columnist, author, and attorney who graduated from Cornell University Law School in 1976. He was a partner at the U.S. international law firm Baker & McKenzie and Paul, and counsel at Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. He has given briefings for the National Intelligence Council, CIA, State Department, and Department of Defense, and testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs. He is the author of several books, including The Eventual Collapse of China, The Disappearance of Korea (co-authored with Aeba), and The Great U.S.-China Tech War (unpublished).
