James Richard “Rick” Perry
After serving as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, he was elected to the Texas House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1984, and changed his party affiliation to the Republican Party in 1989. In 1998, he became the Lieutenant Governor of Texas, and in 2000, when George W. Bush became President and resigned as the Governor of Texas, he became the Governor of Texas and created one million jobs in the state. In the Trump administration, he served as Secretary of Energy.
