Lance Gatling is the founder of Nexial Research, Inc. which serves the defense, space, and governmental markets. Mr. Gatling served in the U.S. Army as a political-military affairs officer and attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was also commissioned as a Foreign Service Officer in the U.S. State Department and held key positions in major companies. A resident of Japan for over 35 years, he is fluent in Japanese, was the only foreign member of an advisory board to the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, and is an All Japan Judo Federation certified judo instructor. He is the Founder of the Kano Chronicles® where his extensive and groundbreaking research is changing the way scholars view the political and cultural significance of the founder of Judo, Jigoro Kano.
