Hiroyuki Nakazawa

Born in 1946, Nakazawa is the former Director of the Obako-Baisa School of Tea Ceremony, the Chief Advisor of the Japan Comedy Actor’s Association, Chief Advisor to the Seiwa-Shijo School of Hōchōdō (Japanese culinary art form of filleting fish), abbot of Daihizan Chitein Temple and Kahokuzan Rinzaiin Temple. He notably organized the Buddhist Pavilion at the 1970 Osaka World's Fair. He has promoted the practice of traditional Japanese tea ceremony in Vienna, Austria, Stuttgart, Germany, and Washington, D.C., among other places. He continues to hold special events at temples, shrines, and Buddhist temples.
