Satoru Nakamura

President, Okinawa Policy Research Forum of Japan

Nakamura was born in Naha City, Okinawa in 1964 and now lives in Saitama Prefecture. He joined the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Youth Technical School in 1973. After graduating he served in an aviation unit. After leaving the military he founded the Okinawa Policy Research Forum of Japan in 2009. His organization is the only group dedicated to correcting the historical falsehoods surrounding Okinawan history perpetuated by the Chinese Communist Party. His recent books include Since When is Okinawa Japan? (Heart Publishing) and Okinawa Targeted (Heart Publishing). He has contributed numerous articles to newspapers and magazines as a leading authority on issues surrounding Okinawa.
